Choropleth Maps

Volttus offers you other types of thematic maps like Choropleth maps that can help you in your business decision making. 

Choropleth maps represent data values in geographic areas with different colors and patterns. Data is categorized into classes, with each class assigned a unique color or pattern.


Choroplet maps are a powerful visualization tool that provides a visual representation of spatial patterns and variations in data. Also the possibilities of choropleth maps are numerous:

Choropleth maps are commonly used to visualize socio-economic indicators, demographic data, election results and other geographically related information. They provide an effective way to compare and contrast data between different regions, allowing for quick identification of areas with higher or lower values.

Graduated Symbol Maps (points)

These maps show data using varying sizes of symbols. Larger symbols represent higher concentrations of data while smaller symbols represent lower concentrations of data.


For example, we can show the centers of the administrative zones of the province of Ontario, Canada, taking into account their existing population. 

Color Degradation Maps.


These maps display data using different colors in a gradient manner. Usually darker colors represent higher concentrations of data, while lighter colors represent lower concentrations of data.
